When to charge your shade
C-Series motorized shades include a solar strip that helps maintain the battery during normal daylight.
If the shade is not getting enough light, the battery may run low. When this happens, the shade will move to the fully lowered position and stop responding to controls.
This is your signal to charge it.
Step 1: Locate the charging port
Find the USB-C charging port on the motor side of the shade.
Step 2: Connect the cable
Insert the USB-C cable into the charging port.
Plug the other end into a compatible power source.
The connector should slide in smoothly when aligned correctly.
Step 3: Allow the shade to charge
Leave the shade connected until it has enough charge to operate normally.
Once charged, the shade will respond to the remote or app again.
Charging tips
Insert the cable straight into the port
Do not force the connector
If it does not go in easily, remove it, check alignment, and try again
What to expect next
After charging, the shade will return to normal operation. In most homes, the solar strip will maintain the battery going forward.
A full charge with no daily sunlight assistance from the solar panels, should give about 6 months of normal usage.
If your shade regularly needs charging, it may not be getting enough direct daylight to stay topped off.
