How to check the battery level on your C-Series motorized shade using the Mado Home app

You can check the battery level of your C-Series motorized shade using the Mado Home app. Regular sunlight helps maintain charge through the integrated solar strip, but the app provides the most accurate battery status.

C-Series motorized shades include an integrated solar strip that helps maintain battery charge during normal use. If you want to confirm the current battery level, you can check it in the Mado Home app, if it has already been configured to control the shades using a Thread-enabled smart home hub.

Step 1: Open the Mado Home app

  1. Open the Mado Home app on your phone.

  2. Select the shade you want to check from your device list.

Step 2: View the battery level

The battery level appears on the shade’s device screen within the app. This shows the current charge status of the motor.

If the battery level is low, charge the shade using a USB-C cable.

When to check battery level

You may want to check the battery level if:

  • the shade moves more slowly than expected

  • the shade does not respond consistently

  • the shade automatically lowers to the fully closed position (without being driven by Eco Mode or automation settings)

  • the shade has not received regular sunlight

  • Continuously blinking red light is seen on the shade’s control panel during motion

Important - If the battery becomes too low, the shade will move to the fully lowered position and remain there until it is recharged. Connect a USB-C cable to restore normal operation.
