Hold for more than about 3 seconds to keep the shade moving.*
Press Center to stop the shade.
This behavior will change if a new firmware update is applied. It is highly recommended to update firmware frequently.

Add the Shade to a Smart Home Network
Use this when adding the shade to the Mado app, Apple Home, or another supported smart home system.
Before you start:
Make sure the shade is charged and awake.
Set the shade height first, so the shade knows its top and bottom positions.
Keep your phone close to the shade during setup.
Have the shade's setup code or QR code ready if your app asks for it.
Put the Shade in Network Setup Mode
This is also called Matter Commissioning Mode.
On the shade, briefly press the NWK button.
Release as soon as you see the NWK light begins flashing purple*.
In the app, choose the option to add a new shade or accessory.
Follow the app instructions to scan the setup code or enter it manually.
When setup is complete, name the shade and assign it to a room.
If the NWK light does not flash purple, you can clear the shade's network settings first. See next section for steps to do this.
Clear Network Settings
Clearing network settings removes the shade from its smart home network. Use this if app setup fails, the shade was previously paired to another home, or you need to start network setup again.
On the shade, press and hold the NWK button for about 10 seconds.
Keep holding until the NWK light changes to solid amber.
Release the button.
Add the shade to the app or smart home network again.
The remote should continue to work after clearing network settings.
Remove the Shade From a Network
Use this when moving the shade to a different home, changing smart home systems, or troubleshooting app setup.
Open the app that currently controls the shade.
Remove the shade from that app or home.
If the shade still appears to be connected, clear the shade's network settings using the steps below.
Removing the shade from a network does not remove the remote pairing or erase the shade's height limits.
If Network Setup Fails
Try these steps before resetting the whole shade:
Move your phone closer to the shade.
Confirm Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
Confirm your smart home hub or border router is powered on and nearby.
Clear the shade's network settings.
Put the shade back into network setup mode.
Try adding the shade again.
Bluetooth (BLE) Pairing for Firmware Updates
BLE pairing mode is used only when applying firmware updates to the shade with the Mado Home app. It is not used for everyday remote control or normal smart home setup.
Turn On BLE Pairing Mode
Press and hold the NWK button on the shade.
When the NWK light starts blinking blue, release the button.
BLE advertising is now active. The shade can be discovered by nearby BLE-enabled devices, depending on the app or device being used.
The shade is in BLE pairing mode only while the NWK light is blinking blue.
Exit BLE Pairing Mode
To exit BLE pairing mode, do either of the following:
Wait a few minutes for BLE pairing mode to time out.
Tap the NWK button once.
Put the Shade Into Deep Sleep ("Off")
Use deep sleep if the shade will be stored, shipped, or unused for a long time.
Move the shade to the fully open position.
Press and hold the PROG button on the shade.
Keep holding until the shade jogs and the light turns off.
The shade will not respond to the remote while it is in deep sleep.
Wake the Shade ("On / Standby")
Press the PROG button on the shade once.
Wait for the shade light to respond.
Use the remote as usual.
Put the Shade in Setup mode ("Config")
The shade needs to be in Setup mode to be able to setup or change its upper and lower limits.
Press and hold the Pinhole button in the back of the remote for about 3 seconds till the PROG light (on the shade) blinks green continuously.
Reset the Shade
Resetting clears saved remote pairing and shade settings. Use this only if you need to start setup again.
Press and hold the PROG button on the shade for about 10 seconds.
Keep holding until the shade jogs.
Release the button.
Pair the remote again and set the shade height.
Factory Reset the Shade
Use a factory reset only when you want to erase all shade setup and start over. A factory reset clears remote pairing, saved height limits and favorites. Factory reset does not clear network settings. See separate steps to reset Network Settings.
Press and hold the PROG button and NWK button together for about 10 seconds. Initially the light will start blink green continuously, and eventually it will stop blinking.
Keep holding until the shade jogs and the lights confirm the reset (turned off).
Release both buttons.
You will need to pair the remote again, and set the shade height again, to be able to operate the shade normally.
Battery Notes
If the shade light flashes amber, charge the shade before continuing setup.
If the remote becomes unreliable, replace the remote battery.
If your remote has a pull tab, remove it before first use.
