The Mado Remote can be paired to control multiple shades simultaneously. When a remote is paired with a group of shades, all paired shades will respond to the remote commands at the same time. To accomplish this, you must pair each shade to the remote individually, one at a time, while ensuring the other shades do not accidentally enter pairing mode.
Before you begin
To pair a single remote to multiple shades, you must isolate the shades you are not currently pairing. This is done by turning those devices off (putting them into Deep Sleep Mode) so they do not respond to the remote during the setup process.
How to turn off a Mado shade
On the shade motor controller, press and hold the program (PROG) button.
The PROG light will light up solid green. Keep holding the button.
After approximately 5 seconds, the light will blink amber twice. Release the button immediately.
The shade is now turned off and isolated. Repeat this process for all other shades in the room except for the first one you want to pair.
Pair the shades one at a time
Make sure only one shade is turned on and awake in the room. All other shades must be turned off using the steps above.
On the active shade controller, press and hold the program (PROG) button until the PROG light turns solid green.
On the Mado Remote, press and hold the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds.
The shade motor will jog (move slightly) to confirm the remote is successfully paired.
Turn this shade off using the "How to turn off a Mado shade" steps above to isolate it.
Turn on the next shade by pressing and holding its program (PROG) button until the PROG light blinks green twice.
Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each remaining shade in the room until every shade has been individually paired to the remote.
What to expect next
Once all individual shades have been paired, turn them all back on by holding down the program (PROG) button on each motor until the PROG light blinks green twice. Your single Mado Remote will now control the full movement of all shades in the room simultaneously when you press the Up, Down, or Action buttons.
