The Mado Remote provides simple, direct control of your shade. It can be used for everyday operation as well as basic setup tasks such as pairing and setting travel limits.
What the Mado Remote can do
Use the remote to:
raise the shade
lower the shade
stop the shade at any position
set the bottom limit
pair the remote with a shade
The remote is designed for quick access to core shade controls without requiring a phone or smart home platform.
Remote buttons
The remote includes the following controls:
Up button
Raises the shade.
Down button
Lowers the shade.
Action button
Stops the shade at its current position.
Pressing the button again causes shad to move in the opposite direction.
Pairing the remote with your shade
Press the Down button on the remote to test if the shade responds.
If the shade does not respond:
Press and hold the program (PROG) button on the shade control panel until a solid green light is seen on the shade control panel. (~ 4 seconds)
Press and hold the Up and Down button together on the remote until the shade jogs again.
The remote is now paired.
Setting Travel limits on the shade
Before the shade is ready for use, you will need to define the desired bottom position (and top position if needed).
Ensure shade is in Config mode
Note: If the shade limits have never been set, the shade stays in Config mode after the previous pairing step.
To confirm shade is in Config mode, look for blinking green light on the shade’s control panel. If you don’t see this, press and hold PROG and NWK together for ~ 3 seconds.
Set the bottom limit
Press and hold the Down button until the shade reaches your desired stopping point.
Use the Up or Down buttons to adjust if needed.
Press and hold center (ACTION) and down button on remote to set bottom limit.
The bottom limit is now saved.
Setting the top limit
The shade will now move upwards, and automatically set the upper limit when it reaches the topmost position.
How to pair a replacement Mado Remote with your shade (Simplified)
Use these steps to pair a new or replacement Mado Remote with your C-Series motorized shade.
If you need to replace your Mado Remote, you can pair the new remote directly to the shade.
Before you begin:
Make sure the shade has enough charge
Wake the shade if needed
To pair a replacement remote:
Make sure the shade is charged and awake.
Press and hold the Program (PROG) button on the shade controller.
When the Program button turns solid green, release the button.
On the replacement remote, press and hold the Up and Down buttons together.
Wait for the motor to jog.
The jog confirms the replacement remote is paired successfully.
If pairing does not work the first time, make sure the shade is awake and try the steps again.
Pairing a Mado remote to control a group of shades
It is possible to control a group of shades (for instance all shades in a room) using a single remote. Simply follow the instructions for pairing a shade to the remote, one shade at a time, till all the shades have been paired.
