How to set the bottom limit on your C-Series motorized shade

Set the bottom limit to control how far your shade lowers when using the remote or smart controls. This ensures the shade stops at the correct position for your window.

The bottom limit determines the lowest position your shade will travel when lowering. You can adjust this at any time using the included remote.

Before you begin

Make sure:

  • the shade is installed securely

  • the remote is paired with the shade

  • the shade responds to remote commands

NOTE: You can skip Step 1 if this is the very first time you are setting up the shade and limits have never been set previously. In this case, the shades are already in CONFIG mode as soon as you have paired the remote and the shade.

Step 1: Put the shade into CONFIG (setup) mode

Use a blunt object to press and hold the remote PROG button (RBP) for ~ 3 seconds, until you see the following confirmation:

  • The shade moves momentarily

  • A green light blinks continuously on the shade controller

Step 2: Move the shade to the desired position

  1. Press and hold the Close button on the remote.

  2. Release the button when the shade reaches the position where you want it to stop during normal use.

Use the Open or Close buttons to make small adjustments if needed.

Step 3: Save the bottom limit

  1. Press and hold the Action and Close button on the remote.

  2. Continue holding until the shade jogs (moves slightly).

The jog confirms the new bottom limit has been saved.

Step 4: Saving the Upper limit

  1. The shade will automatically travel upward to detect the upper limit and exit CONFIG mode.

  2. If you wish to setup different upper limit, enter CONFIG mode again (Remote PROG button hold, 3 seconds)

  3. Move the shade to where you would like to set the new upper limit (using the Open and Close keys)

  4. Hold the Open and Action button simultaneously until the shade jogs.

Step 4: Test the setting

  1. Raise the shade using the remote.

  2. Press the Close button again.

The shade should now stop at the position you set.

If the shade does not stop at the correct position

Repeat the steps above to adjust and save a new bottom limit. You can reset the bottom limit at any time.
