Using the PerfectTrim Tool safely and correctly

Use the PerfectTrim™ Tool only to trim your Mado shade to the correct width before installation.

Intended use

The PerfectTrim™ Tool is designed specifically to cut Mado shade fabric to match your window width during installation.

It should be used on a flat, stable surface, with the shade properly aligned and supported. The tool is intended for controlled, two-handed use, with steady downward pressure applied in a straight, guided motion.

The tool should not be used for any purpose other than trimming Mado shade material.

Proper use

Before trimming, confirm your measurement using the TrueFit™ Bar. The number shown on the bar is your fit number, and you will use that number as your cutting guide.

Locate the same number printed on the shade fabric. This is where the tool should be aligned before cutting.

Place the shade on a flat, stable surface. Position the PerfectTrim Tool at the edge of the shade and align the blade with your fit number. Ensure the tool is square to the fabric before beginning the cut.

Use both hands to hold and guide the tool. Apply steady, downward pressure and move the tool through the fabric in one smooth, continuous motion. The tool is designed to guide the cut when used this way. Do not twist, angle, or force it.

Trim both ends of the shade to the same fit number.

After trimming, check the fit of the shade against your window frame before proceeding with installation.
